● These are authentic “Barbados Rum” - meaning that all distillation, blending, maturation, proofing and bottling occurs entirely on-island, with no sweeteners or flavor additives. ● Foursquare is one of 4 distilleries on the island, and one of 3 that are current fighting for establishing a “Geographic Indication” protecting “Barbados Rum” ● Currently there are other rums in the Global market being labeled as “Barbados Rum” that are not aged or bottled entirely on the island, and that add additional sweeteners and flavor additives - thereby diluting the premium value of Barbados Rum, and reducing its stature in the world of similarly recognized spirits (Scotch, Bourbon, etc…)
