Rough Rider Double Casked Straight Bourbon Whiskey is carefully handcrafted and aged in new American oak casks for a minimum of two years, then extra matured in wine casks formerly housing Merlot and Chardonnay from renowned Long Island wine estates. The casks are first rinsed with high proof aged Brandy allowing the Bourbon to take on a new character which adds depth and complexity with a hint of fruit such as blackberry and currant. Floral to the nose with an incredibly smooth and well-rounded sweet flavor. Rough Rider Happy Warrior Cask Strength Bourbon 750ml / 114PF Rough Rider Happy Warrior fills fewer than a couple of hundred cases per batch. This straight bourbon whisky is aged for a minimum of four years prior to additional maturation in French Oak casks (Merlot & Chardonnay) that have been rinsed with high proof brandy. When ideal flavor and balance are achieved, Happy Warrior is hand-bottled straight from cask at 114 proof. Incredibly smooth and well-rounded sweet flavor.
