BRANDY COGNAC

BODEGAS HIDALGO SPAIN, JEREZ - XERES - SHERRY Bodegas Emilio Hidalgo was founded in 1874 and has developed an international reputation for producing elegant, refined Sherries. Located in the historical heart of Jerez de la Frontera and housed in a late-19th century building — thick walls, large windows, high ceilings and tiled roof — ideal for the fermentation and aging of Sherry. Hidalgo Fino Sherry 30PF / 750ML This sherry is made entirely from the noble Palomino grapes grown pure white ‘Albarizo’ soil. The elegance is due in part to a brief aging under flor before its oxidative aging period of 15 to 20 years. Hidalgo Gobernador Oloroso Seco Sherry 40PF / 750ML At Hidalgo, because they are a family-run bodega, they prefer to let nature take its course. Once it is determined that flor is not forming on the new Palomino stocks, these barrels are classified as Oloroso Morenita-meaning the little brunette-refers to rich brown color of this sherry. The blend of Palomino and Pedro Ximénez lends to this wine, a rich brown color with dark golden highlights. Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez Sherry 30PF / 500ML Made from 100% Pedro Ximénez (PX) grapes that were sun-dried immediately after harvest to concentrate the sugar levels. Stored in barrels in a special open-air porch just outside the bodega. Sweet, but never cloying, this PX is classic and sophisticated.
