EXPOSICIÓN PANAMÁ-PACIFIC PANAMA Exposición Panamá-Pacific Rum is a Spanish-style molasses-derived rum made at the Ingenio San Carlos distillery in Panama. Production of our rum begins deep in the country’s interior, in the Provencia de Herrera region, where we harvest our sugarcane only during its optimal maturity, between the months of January and May. Once harvested, we must extract the vibrant sugarcane’s succulent juices within a short twelve-hour window in order to retain their bright, fresh sweetness. Panamá-Pacific Rum 3yr 85.7PF / 750ML Displays subtle tropical floral aromas balanced with a vegetal tang of fresh green sugarcane. Flavors of banana pudding with vanilla wafer, jungle-fresh papaya, and shortbread are balanced by a gentle acidity. The dry finish carries notes of white pepper, cinnamon, and pistachio. Panamá-Pacific Rum 5yr 85.7PF / 750ML The nose displays prominent honeysuckle blooms, soft vanilla and dark caramel. A palate of caramel Granny Smith apple develops into Asian pear and honeydew melon. The finish is soft and long, with lingering cedar notes. Panamá-Pacific Rum 9yr 94.6PF / 750ML Aromas of creme brûlée, with juicy fruit and coconut banana cherry/ almond subtleties. The palate opens with a delicate sweet butter and caramel entry before a bright warmth in mid-palate leads to rich wood, a little more cherry/almond, then cocoa nibs after mid-palate. Delicious dessert notes fade into wood in the finish. The nose opens with subtle fragrant pear, giving way to aromas of raisin and brown sugar. Rich black currant jam and brûlée caramel flavors unfold, leading into spice notes of ginger snaps and fresh cracked black pepper. Soft, Butterscotch finish. Panamá-Pacific Rum 23yr 84.6PF / 750ML Aromas of ripe butter, subtle flan and white raisin above dried fruit and spices. The palate opens with sweet caramel quickly giving way to charred wet wood, with white raisin close behind before coconut husk and banana lead to buttery woody notes that linger in the finish. 96pts PLATINUM “SUPERLATIVE” BTI ‘16 RIVERS GRENADA , SAINT DAVIDS VERY LIMITED This tiny independent distillery on the southern Caribbean island of Grenada is off most people’s radar but folks in the know widely regard it as one of the greatest rum producers on the planet without exception. A big reason for that is this 200 plus year old distillery’s adherence to traditional, manual production methods. The site is powered solely by water and nearly nothing has changed since it first opened. Rivers Antoine Rivers Rum 138PF / 700ML Powerful at 69% ABV and the rum sings with funky esters, pungent herbs, exotic spices and wild fruits and minerals. 92pts Beverage Testing Institute Panamá-Pacific Rum 15yr 84.2PF / 750ML
