J. RIEGER & COMPANY USA, MISSOURI Founded by Jacob Rieger in 1887, J. Rieger & Co. was shut down in December 1919 due to the onset of federal Prohibition. The brand was reestablished in 2014 by co-founders Andy Rieger and Ryan Maybee. As a bottled in bond spirit, this bourbon is held to a rigorous standard including being made by one distiller at a single distillery in one season. At J. this special rye. Our Straight Rye Whiskey Bottled in Bond is held to rigorous standards. We use only the finest grains available to create the 96% rye, 4% barley mash bill. We then age it for six years in our historic Kansas City rickhouse, resulting in an exemplary whiskey with complex aromas and rich flavors. Riegers KU National Championship Bourbon 86PF / 750 ML The Limited Edition 2022 National Championship Bourbon was produced by J. Rieger & Co. in partnership with the University of Kansas. This Bourbon was distilled at J. Rieger & Co. from a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley. This Straight Bourbon is a marriage of hand-picked barrels from some of our earliest distillations, dating back to 2016, that were selected specifically to commemorate KU’s 2022 National Championship win. Pre-prohibition American rye whiskey involved two different styles. The first, Pennsylvania rye (known sometimes as Monongahela-style) is generally spicy, dry, and heavily oaked.
