● Another of the most iconic Rum producing nations - Jamaica is regarded as being both historically and stylistically relevant in the world of Rum. ● Rums produced in Jamaica remain consistent with production methods established in the 17th Century - entirely distilled in Pot / Batch Stills. ● Rums from Jamaica are “Estate Rums” sourced entirely from their own Sugar cane estates, controlled from farm to bottle, including crush. ● Jamaican Rum is generally referred to as “funky” and “ester-y” - most of which is produced from open-air, wild fermentation, and the use of dunder or “muck” pits. This style of rum has often been used in other blends to add some “Rum” character to otherwise neutral blends.
