EMANUELLA STUCCHI PRINETTI Badia A Coltibuono Tuscany, Italy
KATHERINE POWER & CAMERON DIAZ Avaline USA
MEGAN HUGHES Barnard Griffin Columbia Valley, Washington
Like most good stories, Avaline started with a glass of wine. As friends Cameron Diaz (Actor, Wellness Author) and Katherine Power (Merit, Versed, Who What Wear) went to pour a glass they asked, “what exactly is in our wine, and does it live up to our standards?” Their journey to answer this question led them to create Avaline — organic, delicious wines that are free from unwanted additives and sugars. As a female-founded and -owned brand, Avaline is committed to supporting other women in wine to create more equity in the industry.
Born in Milan in 1954, Emanuela Stucchi Prinetti grew up at Badia a Coltibuono. After studying performing arts and working in theater, she joined the family winery in 1989. Initially managing communications, she later transitioned to leading global sales. A cookbook author and culinary educator, Emanuela made history in 2000 as the first female president of the Consorzio Chianti Classico. Since 2002, she has co-managed the estate with her brother, Roberto, preserving their family’s prestigious Tuscan winemaking legacy.
Megan, the youngest daughter of Rob and Deborah, discovered her passion for Washington wine while helping at the family winery, where she was paid in M&Ms. After earning a B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from WSU in 2010, she joined the family business, focusing on white wine production. Megan serves on the Association of Washington Business board, is active in industry groups, and volunteers to support young women pursuing STEM careers.

SASKIA BOOMSMA Boomsma Netherlands
Boomsma remains a family-owned and operated business, led by siblings Saskia and Chantoine Boomsma. Their dedication to tradition and craftsmanship has preserved Cloosterbitter’s legacy while introducing it to a global audience.
Mhairi was inspired to create her own products and put her energy into building her own company and brand. To achieve that vision, she enrolled in distillery school and decided she would need to differentiate her brand by carving out a sustainable niche. Mhairi narrowed her initial focus to single flavor liqueurs. Brovo Spirits was a 2019 James Beard Foundation Semi- finalist in the Outstanding Beer, Wine, or Spirits Supplier category, and in 2018 earned an Alchemist Award from the American Distilling Institute. z
