Born in 1992 in Bolzano, Helena Lageder studied Media and Theatre in the UK and earned a Filmmaking Diploma from the New York Film Academy. She later studied Film at the University of the Arts in London, working as an assistant director and producer. After contributing to winery projects through events and films, she joined the sales team in 2018. As the sixth generation at Alois Lageder, she now serves as brand ambassador, representing the winery internationally.

Emily Onkey is the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Aplós, a groundbreaking non-alcoholic functional spirits brand. Alongside her business partner, David Fudge, Emily leads Aplós— whose name is derived from the Greek word for “”simple””—with a mission to reshape the adult drinking experience, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional spirits.

Amy found her path to winemaking by way of a tasting room. That experience led her to pursue a degree in winemaking while she worked as a Columbia Crest enologist. It was at Columbia Crest where she met fellow enologist Dan Wampfler, and her professional and personal lives crossed. After leaving Columbia Crest, Amy served as Sinclair Cellars’ general manager and winemaker, but had the chance to pursue the dream of a family enterprise when Abeja approached the couple in late 2015.

Winemaker at one of Willamette Valley’s most historic wineries, Gina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Reed College and an AAS in Winemaking from Chemeketa. Before transitioning to a career in winemaking, she worked as a semiconductor engineer for seven years in both Oregon and Dublin, Ireland. Desiring a career that no longer involved cubicles, she returned to Oregon in early 2006 to establish roots in the wine industry.

Lynnette Marrero is the Liquid Creative Director for the non-alcoholic drinks company Aplos. Marrero has also been honored by the James Beard Awards, named Food & Wine and Fortune Magazine’s Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink , and Wine Enthusiasts’ Mixologist of the Year . In July 2019, Marrero received the T ales of the Cocktails’ Spirited Awards World’s Best Bar Mentors, and the inaugural Philanthropy Award with co-founder Ivy Mix for their work in Speed Rack supporting breast cancer research.

Kim Abrahams is a highly accomplished winemaker whose journey through the world of viticulture is as rich and layered as the wines she expertly crafts. With a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana and a Certificate in Viticulture from Washington State University, Kim’s career spans some of the most renowned wineries in the industry, reflecting her deep passion for the craft and her pursuit of excellence.

As Argyle Winery’s third winemaker, Kate Payne Brown brings two decades of expertise to Oregon’s wine industry. Renowned for sparkling wines and terroir-driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling, Kate holds a biology degree and Master’s in Oenology. Her career includes international experience in Burgundy and Champagne. “Every road has led me to Argyle,” says Kate. She is honored to continue the legacy of Oregon’s most dynamic winery, crafting wines that showcase regional character and excellence.

Melissa Zeman, a seasoned winemaker with global experience spanning three continents, brings a profound passion for viticulture to Argyle. Her terroir- driven approach, blending art and science, results in wines of exceptional character and quality.
