Made in a Destillery from the 19th century which preserves and uses the original brick oven where the blue agave is slowly cocked for 48 hours. Tequila Herencia starts with the careful selection of blue agave plants, sourced from the Jalisco Highlands. In this area, the agave plants benefit from hot and sunny dry periods, followed by heavy rainy seasons, and a fertile soil, high in minerals, which produces richer and higher quality agaves, taking 7 to 10 years to reach full maturity.
