METHOD 1.

Mix gin and soda water in a highball glass over ice Garnish with a wedge of lemon

60mL Fresh Yuzu Gin 20mL fresh lemon juice

10mL sugar syrup 10mL Triple Sec

A Martini not for the purist but made for thrill seekers. It’s what our Creative Director of Gin Drinks, James Irvine describes as fun, fresh and a throwback to the glory days of bartending. Pucker up and dance on the bar top.

METHOD 1.

Rim a chilled cocktail glass with caster sugar Stir ingredients over ice in a mixing glass

TASTING NOTES A canvas of juniper supports plenty of bright and fresh citrus notes from the yuzu – think a mix of mandarin, grapefruit, lemon and lime. The addition of finger lime adds some deeper citrus character. Sencha Genmaicha, a Japanese green tea with roasted brown rice, gives green notes and depth of flavour, as does turmeric. Ginger shines through and a bit of lemon myrtle adds a touch of lemon curd.
