HI FRIENDS

Established in 2013 by three mates, Cam, Stu and Matt, Four Pillars Gin has grown to become Australia’s number one craft spirit and is now exported to over 25 markets around the world. Everything we do at Four Pillars is focused on making the most of the opportunity to make gin here in Australia, the most delicious place on Earth. We created our original Rare Dry Gin on four pillars: stills, botanicals, water, and love. And the fifth pillar? Well that’s always been you, our great mates and partners in the drinks trade.

NO.1 INTRODUCING FOUR PILLARS GIN

BORN IN THE YARRA VALLEY

Our Healesville home is in the heart of the Yarra Valley, just an hour outside of Melbourne. We’ve created our own gin paradise here and we’re doing our best to showcase the very best of Australian gin to the world.

07

OUR HOMES Four Pillars Distillery is based in

Healesville, at the heart of the Yarra Valley. About an hour’s drive from the CBD of Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is the food and drink capital of Victoria, some might say Australia. Being based here, in flavour country, has helped make Four Pillars what it is today. In October 2015 we moved into our home, a gorgeous old timber yard on Healesville’s main street. Today, much expanded, our Four Pillars Distillery houses five copper stills, all manufactured by CARL in Germany and all named after our mums (well, some of our mums…there are now over 130 people who go to work at Four Pillars every week).

NO.2 OUR HOMES

Every day, our production stills Wilma, Jude, Beth and Linda work to produce the world’s most delicious family of gins, while Coral creates new experimental batches for trial distillations. These five spectacular Healesville-based stills (our sixth, Eileen, is another experimental still based at our Four Pillars Laboratory in Sydney), make Four Pillars the largest gin-focussed distillery in Australia.

In 2022, we opened our new and expanded distillery space, nearly tripling our room to host visitors and delivering some much needed new production space to support our growth as champions of the Australian craft gin scene.

Our Surry Hills Laboratory is home to a working gin still plus a world-class cocktail bar. A delicious playground for Sydney’s gin lovers and a new bucket list destination for gin fanatics around the world.

09

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

TREAD LIGHTLY “From the very first day we distilled gin we have tried to recycle, re-use and replenish our environment and give back to the community. We’re committed to making the best gin in the world, while always trying to tread ever more lightly on the land we call home.” - CAM Head Distiller and Co-Founder

Our Healesville Distillery is enclosed by a copper ‘veil’. Raw copper tubing works as a natural heat exchange, reducing energy consumption.

NO.3 OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

In April 2022, we became the first gin distillery in Australia to achieve carbon neutral product certification for our gins bottled onsite at the distillery, as well as organisation certification for the entire Four Pillars business (which is pretty awesome if we do say so ourselves). Awarded by Climate Active (an Australian government initiative), this certification is only given to businesses that have reached a state of achieving zero net emissions. We achieved product carbon neutral certification after working with Climate Active and Ndevr Environmental for over a year, tracking our gin’s full journey, from what goes into the gin, to how it is made, and to where it goes beyond the distillery door. And thanks to our partners at

Lion, we were able to achieve carbon neutrality for our business operations by being included in the boundary of Lion Australia’s organisation certification, which was awarded in 2021. We’ve always done our best to recycle, reuse and reduce our impact on the environment. From turning the spent oranges from our Rare Dry Gin distillations into our much-loved Made From Gin orange marmalade, to installing solar panels on the roof of our distillery, to now offsetting what can be an energy-intensive production process. When we’re lucky enough to call somewhere like the magnificent Yarra Valley home, we reckon we’re doing no more or less than what should be expected.

Gin is piped and tonic is kegged directly into Beth’s Bar, eliminating 29 tonnes of glass waste per year.

Spent botanicals are reused in our Made From Gin food range or as mulch for local gardens. Our Gin Garden is planted with local natives and spent botanicals.

11

WHAT MAKES OUR GIN SO SPECIAL?

In 2019 and 2020 the IWSC named Four Pillars International Gin Producer of the Year.

In a word, Australia. We make gin here that we simply couldn’t make anywhere else on earth. We build every gin on a canvas of juniper, and from there we play. We play with game changing Australian native botanicals like lemon myrtle and Tassie pepper, and we play with an abundance of fresh produce. Our whole approach to making gin is to distill the flavours, the attitude, the unique botanicals and the fresh produce of our Australian (and Yarra Valley) home. Nowhere tastes like Australia. So it stands to reason that Australian gin, and indeed Four Pillars, should be quite unique.

NO.4 EVERY GIN WE MAKE

A GIN FOR EVERY DRINKER

AUSTRALIA’S NUMBER ONE SELLING GIN. Since launching our Rare Dry Gin in 2013, we have gone on to become Australia’s number one selling premium gin. Four Pillars is the number four gin in Australia, in both volume and value (IWSR 2021). Four Pillars accounts for 40% of the Australian-made gin market in Australia (IWSR 2021). In 2021 the Australian gin market grew at +8% and the Australian-made gin market grew at +13% (IWSR 2021).

Since we launched on the market in December 2013, we’ve made more gins that we can count (we’re gin makers, not accountants). But three gins above all summarise what Four Pillars is all about. Our Rare Dry Gin is hugely versatile, a modern Australian classic with warm orange aromas combining with Asian spice. It makes, we’d humbly suggest, the best G&T on the planet. Our Bloody Shiraz Gin is a true Four Pillars original, and the godfather of the emerging category of grape gins. Like bartender’s ketchup, Bloody Shiraz Gin makes every drink better, from a Bloody G&T to a Bloody Sour. Our Fresh Yuzu Gin is a bright citrus flavour bomb, perfect for all kinds of Japanese-inspired cocktails, starting with a clean, fresh Yuzu Highball made with soda.

TASTING NOTES Our use of whole, fresh oranges in distillation is unusual and gives this gin a great citrus punch. There is great spice thanks to our use of traditional and Australian botanicals. The cassia and star anise add rich fruitcake tones, the Tasmanian pepperberry leaf provides warmth rather than heat, and the lemon myrtle is a beautiful alternative to lemon peel.

TASTING NOTES The palate is balanced and sweet with long juniper, spice character and a little tannin on the finish. There is distinct, dense, raspberry notes and white pepper spice. There is no added sugar – all sweetness is natural from the grapes, as is the deep, purple colour. The gin is unfiltered, so it will develop secondary fruit characters over time.

2. 3.

TASTING NOTES A canvas of juniper supports plenty of bright and fresh citrus notes from the yuzu – think a mix of mandarin, grapefruit, lemon and lime. The addition of finger lime adds some deeper citrus character. Sencha Genmaicha, a Japanese green tea with roasted brown rice, gives green notes and depth of flavour, as does turmeric. Ginger shines through and a bit of lemon myrtle adds a touch of lemon curd.

MODERN AUSTRALIAN GIN Our Modern Australian Gin is a bold Australian take on a more classic style of gin. Distinctly

Australian but also deeply versatile, this one’s a real bartender favourite.

RTD OUR (READY TO DRINK) CANS

Despite how easy they are to serve and drink, RTDs are not as easy to make. You need to nail both the gin and the tonic, and their ratios, especially if you want a drink that is flavour-packed but still sits at one standard drink like we did. Cam made a super-concentrated Rare Dry Gin using essentially twice as many of the exact same botanicals for the flavours to shine through. Then we designed a tonic that was inspired by a few of our favourites. And then we tinkered and toiled and tasted many, many times because we realised that if we were to release a Four Pillars G&T in a can, it had to be the best in the business. Lo and behold, Cam nailed the brief and our RTD cans were created.

WHY SHOULD RETAILERS SUPPORT RTDS?

RTD is the fastest growing category in Australian liquor at +14.9% for the quarter vs last year. Source: IRI Liquor WTD GTR TO APR 2022 Consumers are willing to pay on average $2 PER LITRE MORE for gin RTDs compared with any other segment. Source: IRI Marketedge, MAT TO 1 MAY 2022 OVER 60% of Four Pillars RTD drinkers were not previously purchasing RTDs, bringing more consumers into the category and money in the till. Source: Coles Liquor Group Gains and Losses Report May 2022

NO.4 EVERY GIN WE MAKE

RARE DRY GIN & TONIC

To ensure we’re not compromising on flavour while keeping the serve to one standard drink (5.1% ABV), we’ve distilled a hyper-concentrated version of our Rare Dry Gin to use as the base, and have complemented this with a bespoke tonic also crafted from scratch. On top of that, we’ve dialled up the citrus to emulate our signature orange garnish, so you can enjoy a perfect ice cold G&T, straight from the can.

FRESH YUZU GIN & SODA

Fresh Yuzu Gin is our brightest, lightest, freshest and zingy-est gin, and for us it’s best enjoyed in a highball with soda. So we’ve made just that in a canned version, keeping it to one standard drink (5.1% ABV) that packs a flavour punch by distilling a hyper-concentrated version of Fresh Yuzu Gin. On top of the soda, we’ve dialled up the yuzu flavour so it tastes like you’ve garnished your drink with a slice of fresh citrussy yuzu. It’s as simple and delicious as that.

BLOODY SHIRAZ GIN & TONIC

This purple experiment-gone-right is the perfect balance of sweet fruit and ginny goodness. To maintain full flavour while keeping the serve to one standard drink (5.1% ABV), we’ve distilled a special super-botanical gin to use as the base. A bespoke tonic was also crafted from scratch to complement the natural sweetness and spice, plus we dialled up the lemon notes so it tastes like you’ve garnished your G&T with a slice of fresh lemon.

31

BANDWAGON We all want or need some time off the drink now and again. But time off the drink shouldn’t mean time off decent drinks altogether. So over the past two years we’ve been quietly working away to see if we could bring the botanical flavours of our most popular and iconic gins to life in an alcohol-free spirit. And after years of crafting, testing, tasting and perfecting, we’ve created two products we are a little bit excited about. They’re our very best attempts at making ‘gin’ without the gin. (Trust us, it’s not as easy as it sounds). Who better, we thought, to bring craft, Australian flavour and delicious drinks to the emerging non-alc category. At the heart of Bandwagon Dry and Bloody Bandwagon are two of our core gins, Rare Dry Gin and Bloody Shiraz Gin. Using a combination of vacuum and steam distillation, the oils from our signature ten botanicals are all extracted and mixed together with a water base. Whilst it can’t taste quite like gin without the alcohol, we think we have done a pretty good job of capturing the unique flavours and character of our gins in this botanical based alcohol-free alternative. OUR (NOT) GIN

TAKING A BREAK? YOU’RE NOT ALONE

The ‘No-Lo’ spirits category grew by more than 30% in 2020 and is forecast to increase by another +31% by 2024 (vs total spirits to grow by 5% – IWSR).

NO.4 EVERY GIN WE MAKE

Bandwagon Dry has been modelled on our original Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin, a modern, citrus-forward gin with a combination of Middle Eastern, Asian and local Australian botanicals. Bandwagon Dry follows the same path – just without the booze. You’ll find aromas of orange and lemon myrtle and on the palate are notes of spice and some warmth. This is a botanical based alcohol-free spirit destined for a booze-free G&T – with a wedge of orange, of course. BANDWAGON DRY

Bloody Bandwagon is based on our cult favourite Bloody Shiraz Gin. In fact the two share the same base material of cool climate Victorian shiraz grapes. We have created an alcohol-free base of highly concentrated shiraz and then added complexity with the addition of many of our favourite botanicals including Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and several types of citrus. This is a unique, purple and slightly sweet alcohol-free spirit that you can use just as you would your regular Bloody Shiraz Gin. We are drinking ours with some tonic water and a big squeeze of lemon! BLOODY BANDWAGON
