Paul Achs returned to the family winery in Gols in 1991 after spending time in California where he learned to produce red wines at the highest level of quality. Today he is regarded as a benchmark producer of Blaufränkisch characterized by elegance and finesse. 2 Vineyard holdings are in the prized and historic area around Gols. Ninety percent of the production is dedicated to red wine and all 23.5 hectares are farmed biodynamically. 3. Achs is a founding member of respekt-BIODYN [1] and a member of Pannobile Growers Association [2] .

Szigeti is a family-owned Sekt producer located in the northern Burgenland village of Gols, led by brothers Norbert and Peter Szigeti who took over the family business in 1990. 2. Traditional method sparkling wines are made from both Austrian and international varieties. 3. A broad range of wines is produced, made in a fresh style with clear varietal expression for both celebration and the table.
