ALTESINO The 2015 harvest in general was an excellent year in all areas of Tuscany. A vintage characterized by the health of the grapes, a good degree of technical maturation and the achievement of phenolic maturation.Winter was mild and rainy, allowing the formation of water reserves necessary to face the heat of July and the first half of August. High temperatures blocked the activity of the plants and late August rains were welcomed. September had ideal temperatures necessary to the maturation of Sangiovese. IL MARRONETO 2015 was like sailing on a perfectly calm sea with a beautiful sunset to finish the day. It was very easy for us to make our selections in the vineyard. The grapes were wonderfully ripe right down to the most hidden parts, completely healthy and full of color and scents.We derived full, round wines with beautiful mouth- feel.Wines of great acidity enveloped in softness from an excellent polymerization of the tannins that will surely give a very long life to the wine. Aromas of flowers on the nose and silky smoothness on the palate.
