I t was in 1988 that Dany and Michel Rolland, approached by one of the oldest families in the Calch aqui Valley as consultants, discovered Argentina. It was love at first sight for this country, its culture, its traditions, its people. These French oenologists were convinced that unique and exceptional wines could be produced in this mountainous context of the pre-Andes. After the first steps in Cafayate, and over the next ten years, a handful of wine consultancies in Argentina culminated in the “Clos de los Siete” project, south of Mendoza, in the Uco Valley. At the highest point of the Clos 3600 feets, the Rolland family produces MARIFLOR Wines, named after their daughter, Ma rie. The first vines were planted in 1999 and we produce from the Estate, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Noir.
