F ounded in 2003 by the dynamic broth ers-in-law duo, Chad Johnson and Corey Braunel, the winery has gained a reputa tion for producing premium, handcrafted wines, under the Dusted Valley and Boomtown by Dusted Valley labels. Corey represents the fourth generation of his family in agriculture and was raised on a ginseng farm in Northern Wisconsin. Sisters, Janet and Cindy, grew up just down the road on their par ents’ 250-acre (101 hectares) dairy farm. Chad gained an appreciation and then a passion for the wonders of food and wine while working in the hospitality industry in Wisconsin. The winery is known for its focus on small-lot, single vineyard wines that reflect the unique ter roir of the region. With a commitment to sustain able and environmentally friendly practices, the winery sources grapes from carefully selected vineyards throughout the Columbia Valley and Walla Walla Valley AVAs. In addition to the 20 acre (8 hectares) estate, the family works with ac complished viticulturists from premier vineyards.
