Wormwood is the backbone botanical for vermouth . Even the name “vermouth” is derived from the “wermut” infused German wines that came before it. Cinchona bark is the source of quinine , which most people are used to as a flavor component in their tonicwater. Aromatized wines with quinine are commonly known as quinquina or chinato. Gentian root or flower is most commonly seen in Americano style aromatized wines. It’s also used commonly in many aperitivo liqueurs.
Made from old Barolo infused with quinine bark, rhubarb, ginger, and other aromatic spices. Rich and complex with flavors unparalleled in wines of its category. Pairs exceptionally well with dark chocolate; also may be used to enhance cocktails in place of vermouth.
