New Grove owns and controls all stages of its rums’ production from the sugarcane fields to the French oak casks in which the liquor of outstanding quality aged between 10 months to 25 years. PARANUBES MEXICO Roughly 40 minutes east of Hautla de Jimenez, tucked within the steep, misty river canyons below the community of Rio Tuerto is the distillery, or trapiche, of Jose Luis, our producer for Paranubes. Jose Luis’ family has been making aguardiente for at least 3 generations, with his father and grandfather teaching him the trade at a very young age. For the past 35 years, he has been producing this rich, fragrant spirit as one of many means to provide for his family and we are honored to be working with him. Paranubes Oaxacan Rum de Cana 108PF / 1.0L Paranubes Rum is made by wild fermenting the fresh pressed juice of sugarcane grown without pesticide or fertilizer in the rich soil of master distiller Jose Luis Carrera’s farm. Distilled to proof with no additives, this rum - or aguardiente de caña as it’s known regionally, is exactly what you would find lost in the cloud forest of the Sierra Mazateca mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. Overproof at 54.4° this jewel form Oaxaca Mexico is made with only 1 type of sugar cane varietal: Caña Morada. Zero water is added to proof this spirit, José Luis Carrera knows what he is doing, he is a 3rd generation producer in the Sierra Mazateca.

PANAMA PACIFIC PANAMA Exposición Panamá-Pacific Rum is a Spanish-style molasses-derived rum made at the Ingenio San Carlos distillery in Panama. Production begins deep in the country’s interior, in the Provencia de Herrera region, where we harvest our sugarcaney. Once harvested, we extract the succulent juices within a short twelve-hour window to retain their bright, fresh sweetness. begins with freshly distilled sugarcane being laid into used American Oak bourbon whiskey casks for initially for 3 years before a 6-year finishing in used Tennessee and Canadian rye whiskey casks that have been toasted, not charred. Panama Pacific 3yr Blanco 80PF / 1.0L Our blanco 3 Year rum displays subtle tropical aromas of gardenia and jasmine balanced with a vegetal tang of fresh green sugarcane. Flavors of banana pudding with vanilla wafer cookies, jungle-fresh papaya, and shortbread are balanced by a gentle acidity. The dry finish carries notes of white pepper, cinnamon, and pistachio. Panama Pacific Rum 5yr 85.7PF / 750ML The nose on the 5 Year displays prominent honeysuckle blooms mixed with soft vanilla and dark caramel. The aromas carry through to a palate of sweet-tart caramel Granny Smith apple that develops into Asian pear and honeydew melon. The finish is soft and long, with lingering cedar notes. Panamá-Pacific Rum 9yr 94.6PF / 750ML Aromas of warm butter, flan caramel custard, and golden raisin that float over a bed of spiced dried cherry and apricot.
