DICTADOR COLOMBIA The history of the Dictador brand goes back to 1751 when Severo Arango y Ferro arrived in Cartagena, where his power would soon earn him the nickname of Dictador. More than a century later, in 1913, Don Julio Arango y Parra, a descendant of the Dictador established Destileria Colombiana. The main Dictador range comprises a selection of solera aged Rums of varying ages. Dictador Colombian Rum 12 YO 80PF / 750ML The Dictador 12-Year-Old Rum, a solera aged Rum, meaning it’s drawn from the solera vat at the ripe age of 12. Younger Rums are aged in oak casks and then blended with older Rums. The marriage of old and new provides a result that is one of the most exquisite Rums you’ll ever get to taste. This Rum is aged for 12 years is pre-used oak barrels and bottled at 40% ABV. Made from pressed sugar cane juice and aged in American Oak Bourbon barrels for 25 years. The nose is strong with aromas of oak, dark chocolate, and cream. On the palate it is smooth and sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, nougat, and caramel. The finish is round & smooth.
