T he winery is located in one of the most prestigious Spanish Denominations of Origin, Ribera del Duero. The company was established in May 2003 with the sole objective of producing wines of the highest quality, espe cially Crianzas and Reservas. The town of Peñafiel (located about 56 km from the city of Valladolid) is known as the heart of La Ribera Del Duero Famous for its amazing landscapes, vineyards and for thewine museum, located in the town’s castle. It was a very important center in the Middle Ages, as shown by its large number of churches (up to 19 Its name derives from the Latin Penna Fidele (the loyal rockor mountain). There is a very large number of under ground caves, very typical of the area, which were traditionally used for wine storage Its main advantage is the constant temperature throughout the year. Our winery has more than 32 hectares (79 acres) of vineyards, with the Tinta del País ( Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties that grow in two different vineyards located in Peñafiel and Castrillo two places with an exceptional climate to create the best Crianzas and Reservas.
