Lapostolle is one of the most dynamic and influential producers of wines in Chile. Founded in 1994 in the Apalta Valley, this family business was created by the French Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet, members of the family who have been recognized to produce wines and fine liqueurs for generations in the world. In creating Lapostolle, the family has maintained their long-term vision and commitment to quality that has been the key for their worldwide success. Borobo, Cuvée Alexandre, Lapostolle Grand Selection, Collection and D’Alamel, are part of Lapostolle Wines products portfolio. Today it is Charles de Bournet Marnier-Lapostolle, seventh generation of the family, who holds the reins of the Winery. Together with him is Andrea León, Technical Director & Winemaker, under the advice of the famous winemaker Michel Rolland, who is personally involved in the whole production of the premium and icon wines. Lapostolle Grand Selection Cabernet Sauvignon All the grapes are hand harvested in small cases of 14 kilos and carefully transported to the winery. We obtained clean and pure fruit with strict quality control thanks to the state of the art technology: our Vistalys optical berries selection. 5% of the clusters were hand de stemmed. Then all the grapes were gently macerated with a gentle extraction, obtaining elegant structure, expressive aromas and very good color. Fermentation lasted about 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks at 24-28°C. After a maximum of 4 weeks of maceration, 60% of the wine was aged in 225 lt. French oak barrels (second, third and fourth use) for 6 months while the remaining 40% was aged in stainless steel tanks. 2015 : 91 JS, 89 WS Lapostolle Grand Selection Chardonnay Our objective is to highlight the excellent fruit that Casablanca offers, great acidity with a touch of complexity. Grapes were transported in refrigerated containers from our Atalayas vineyard to our winery in the Colchagua Valley. Our key points are strict fruit selection using Vistalys optical selection technology. 34% of the clusters went straight to the press and were directly pressed while the remaining 66% was destemmed, crushed and macerated in a steel tank at low temperature for 6 to 12 hours. Then we racked the juice for a natural decantation in stainless steel tanks. We fermented 80% of the clear juice in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the freshness of the fruit and the remaining 20% was fermented in French

oak barrels. 2016 : 91 JS
