Catena Appellations Mendoza Province is Argentina’s most important winemaking region with approximately 167,704 hectares (414,405 acres) of vineyards, accounting for 70% of the country’s Wine production. Within the Mendoza appellation there are distinct sub-appellations, legally recognized as “Indicaciones Geográficas” (IGs). Through extraordinary diversity in soil quality, altitude, and climate, Mendoza’s sub-appellation|IGs are essential in defining the terroir of Argentine wine. Wines labeled from a particular appellation|IG must be sourced 100% from vineyards in the IG. Catena Appellation Cabernet Franc San Carlos The Catena Cabernet Franc Appellation El Cepillo presents a purple color with red ruby tones. The nose offers elegant aromas of spices, and fresh herbs as thyme and rosemary, red berries, cassis and raspberries, with layers of cedar. The mouthfeel is full and rich with cassis, raspberries flavors and notes of black pepper and oregano . Catena Appellation Cabernet Sauvignon Agrelo The Catena Appellation Cabernet Sauvignon Agrelo presents purple color with ruby red reflections. The nose shows intense aromas of ripe red fruit flavors interwoven with spices notes like black pepper, thyme, curry, with layers of cedar. The mouthfeel is rich with layers of cassis flavors and notes of black pepper, clove, leather and tobacco. Catena Appellation Chardonnay Tupungato The Tupungato has the unique expression of cool and high-altitude vineyard sites. Tupungato vineyards lend citrus notes with a crisp finish and a rich unctuous mouthfeel. The wine has a beautiful pear and citrus flavors with crisp fresh minerality. The wine is a delicate greenish color with light yellow notes. The aroma is of fresh white peaches and pineapples and jasmine and magnolia. The mouthfeel is tangible and rich yet

Catena Appellation Malbec La Consulta Catena Malbec Appellation La Consulta is composed of 100% Malbec blended from vineyards of La Consulta district in San Carlos. The result is a wine with a pure expression of a unique terroir. 35-year-old vines gives red and black fresh fruits flavors, sweet texture and character.
