LLS Portfolio Book

Dell’ Unità

With over 35 years of Italian wine expertise, LLS has established strong relationships with growers and winemakers in Italy’s most important wine regions. Focusing on a central belief in quality and authenticity, LLS joins together some of the best growers in the region to produce one wine that represents a united Barolo. DELL’ UNITÀ expresses Barolo in a style that reflects the region as it was pre-World War II when all Barolo wines were produced by blending several vineyard sites together to showcase the unity of the Barolo DOCG in a beautiful expression of the terrior. Barolo DOCG Dell’ Unità Barolo DOCG is sourced from both the east and west of the Barolo Region. The west is characterized by younger, more fertile Tortonian soils that express developed notes of flowers and fruits. And in the east, the Helvetian soils are less compact and less fertile, delivering a darker and deeper profile of minerals, dark fruits and spices. Reflecting the best tradition of Barolo, fruit for Dell’Unità is fermented for about two weeks. Each vineyard undergoes a specific aging meant to enhance the best qualities of the different sites. The wine is bottled after 24 months of aging in oak.
