“Costera” Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Costera, a name referring to hills, is made from Cannonau (Garnacha or Grenache). It is the workhorse red grape of Sardegna where it is likely to have arrived centuries ago from Spain, although an alternative theory suggests that Cannonau originated in Sardegna. In either case, Cannonau is well- adapted to the warm Sardinian climate and gives a deeply-colored, full-bodied red wine.

“Perdera” Monica di Sardegna DOC A blend based on the native Monica grape and balanced with small amounts of Carignano and Bovale Sardo, Perdera is grown in the area of Sisini, the grapes are harvested in September and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve their bright and juicy aromas. A period of rest in French oak adds softness and complexity.

“Cardanera” Carignano del Sulcis DOC Sulcis is a coastal area in the southwest of Sardegna. Here, baking summers, mild winters, and constant ventilation create the type of environment that push the Carignano variety to its best. Cardanera undergoes fermentation over 12-15 days in steel vats followed by malolactic conversion in cement. Following a brief rest in tank, the wine is bottled young to capture its vibrant and juicy aromas. Warm, round, and inviting, Cardanera bursts with soft tannin, bright red fruit character, sweet cooking spices and Mediterranean herb.

“Is Solinas” Carignano del Sulcis DOC Riserva Is Solina is a small municipality within Sulcis, a coastal area in the southwest of Sardegna. Here, baking summers, mild winters, and constant ventilation create the type of environment that push the Carignano variety to its best. Is Solinas Carignano del Sulcis Riserva undergoes fermentation in stainless steel followed by malolactic conversion in cement. This concentrated wine from old vines is given the chance to develop over 12 months in barrique, after which an additional 6 months in bottle allow the wine to settle and reach equilibrium. Powerful, complex, and supple, Is Solinas reflect its dramatic place of origin. Brooding aromas of baked cherry and blackberry are matched by toast, vanilla, spice and cedar. A long and harmonious finish confirms the wine’s Mediterranean heritage with lingering notes of Macchia Mediterranea—the Sardinian equivalent of the French aroma descriptor, Garrigue.

“Senes” Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva DOC Sardinian Cannonau is blended with a small amount of Carignano and Bovale Sardo in this Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva. Following a malolactic fermentation in cement vats, Senes rests in large oak barrels for at least 12 months before bottling.
