Famiglia Cotarella “RC2” Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG This silky and substantial red wine is made from 100% Sagrantino, a highly-esteemed grape, indigenous to the Montefalco area of Umbria. Locals unanimously agree that the variety is at its finest in the hills surrounding Gualdo Cattaneo. Here, the combination of microclimate, elevation, and unique soils makes it possible to obtain wines of truly exceptional character. The wine name and label pay tribute to Riccardo Cotarella’s first grandson, Riccardo Chiasso, who shares the initials, RC, with his grandfather.
