“ For generations, our family has lived for its passion – wines that are at the same time pure, authentic, and outstanding” — STEFFEN CHRISTMANN

them from the start, all the while under directorship of the Christmann family. Now in the seventh generation, the name still stands for top wines that take a back seat to none. Wines that exude a sense of charisma and inspire excitement; noble varieties planted in top sites, cultivated in a near-to-nature fashion, these are the hallmarks of the A.Christmann estate. For generations the family has maintained their passion and energy for producing pure and outstanding wines. They have never confused satisfaction with contentment,

IN THE 19TH CENTURY, cousins Johann Martin and Professor Dr Louis Häusser

met at Weingut Buhl in Deidesheim to discuss

politics and other matters of interest. Perhaps due to the immediate environment and the local wines, they decided to purchase a vineyard themselves. This laid the cornerstone for today’s Christmann estate, which acquired its current name when the founder’s granddaughter Henriette Häusser married Eduard Christmann and gave birth to a son named Arnold, after whom the estate was ultimately christened. Passion and creativity have been with

constantly striving for greater expressiveness.
