Meletti
Marche, Italy (Opici Wines)
Family-owned and operated for over 140 years. Silvio Meletti developed a unique production method using a bain-marie still which allows for a slow evaporation process that renders highly aromatic distillates. This art of distillation, along with original recipes, have been passed down through generations of Melettis’ and are the foundation of the family’s portfolio today. Meletti, Amaro Meletti Amaro is produced according to a secret family recipe that originated at the turn of the century. This remarkable blend of aromatic fruits, herbs, and spices creates a perfectly balanced digestivo that is neither overly bitter, nor overly sweet. Meletti, 1870 Bitter Meletti 1870 is a traditional Italian aperitivo. Three separate distillates: sweet orange, bitter orange, and a spice and herb infusion, are blended with pure spirits to create a mildly bitter, yet refreshing aperitivo. Meletti, Anisette The very special flavor of Meletti Anisette is a result of slow evaporative distillation and the quality of the anise (Pimpinella Anisum) that is grown in the clay soil near Ascoli Piceno. The resulting anisette is rich, smooth, and exceptionally flavorful. Oldest anisette in Italy. Meletti, Dry Anisette Made with the same ingredients and the same production method of the classic Anisette, with a crisp, stronger taste due to absence of sugar and its higher alcoholic content. Meletti, Sambuca
Sambuca is richer in body than anisette and has an underlying floral character. Sambuca is a richly textured cordial with the delightful, aromatic flavors of the elder flower.
