Founded in 1910 and four generations later, Stokerij De Moor continues to handcraft genever from first grain to last drop, preserving the time-honored tradition of using copper pot stills, premium grains, and all natural ingredients. Surviving five centuries of wars and prohibitions, genever was perfected and spread across the world. During its evolution, genever inspired the creation of gin and secured a place at America’s early cocktail bars. Belgian genever is one of the best-kept secrets in the liquor industry. Diep 9, Old Genever An authentic Genever imported from East-Flanders, Belgium. Handcrafted from grain to bottle at Belgium’s smallest distillery since 1910. All East-Flemish grains (rye, wheat, malted barley) with 9 botanicals. Bottled by hand in historic, handcrafted clay jugs. The Old is barrel-aged in French oak (Bordeaux) for two years. Lower malt wine content and aging, makes this a cleaner and clearer Genever. Its neutrality is palatable to the vodka drinker and its delicate spices serve as a welcomed substitute for gin.
