The fifth generation of Hidalgos run the winery, carrying on the family’s rich Sherry-making heritage. The winery has received countless accolades from Sherry connoisseurs and top critics. Hidalgo, Fino The pale, clean color of this wine belies its beauty and complexity. Made from 100% Palomino, the wine is elegant and bone-dry on the palate, yet the finish lingers on. The finesse of this wine comes from the fact that Hidalgo uses finos from aged soleras, sometimes 6 and 7 years old, when many producers choose to bottle their finos at 2-3 years. This extra aging adds refinement on the palate. Hidalgo, La Panesa Especial Fino All finos develop under the veil of flor and this is evident on the nose of this limited Made from 100% Palomino it shows aromas of walnuts, tea and a bit of faint toasty smoke on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry, smooth and well-balanced.  The Jerezanos drink this with just about everything….it is their “go-to” wine. Hidalgo, Morenita Cream This is a delicate style cream with hints of caramel, dried fruits and mocha on the nose. Smooth and elegant with well-balanced sweetness, it still manages to be refreshing. Hidalgo, Pedro Ximénez Aromas of maple, raisins and chocolate make this the ultimate after-dinner drink.
