Dreyfus Ashby Winter Portfolio 2023

History • Born in the year the first vines were planted, Jules has literally grown up with Sauvignon Blanc. While working as senior winemaker at one of Marlborough’s most successful brands, Jules started her own label on the side in 2001 with just 200 cases. • Five years, two children and many, many late nights later, George and Jules took the nail-biting deci sion to put everything on the line, and go all-in with Jules Taylor Wines. New Zealand Marlborough

• In 2012, Jules produced her first single vineyard, barrel fermented “On The Quiet” Sauvignon Blanc. • In 2021 Jules was named “New Zealand Winemaker of the Year” by a panel of industry experts. Style

• Honest, tasty, fruit-packed Marlborough wines crafted with sunshine from Marlborough and love from Jules. • “To suggest she’s mastering sauvignon blanc is a serious understatement” - Cameron Douglas, MS and Judge, NZ Winemaker of the Year Winemaking • Come harvest time, you’ll find Jules relentlessly walking the rows of each vineyard, tasting berries for days on end, searching for the perfect flavor profile. • Leading up to the crucial decision of when to pick to ensure optimum results, she makes the call purely by taste, not relying on results from the laboratory. No matter the cost, Jules will only release a wine if she is entirely satisfied it has met her standards. Vineyards • Jules makes her harvesting decisions in the vineyard, purely by taste rather than by laboratory analyses. • She takes fruit from a selection of grower and estate vineyards, all of which are 100% certified by the Sustainable Winegrowers NZ scheme. • Strong personal connections to the grape growing families of Marlborough allow Jules to source hidden pockets of outstanding fruit. 2020 Pinot Noir 2022 Sauvignon Blanc
