CAMPBELLS Location: Rutherglen, Victoria Established: 1870 Principals: Malcolm Campbell (Co-Owner & Viticulturalist), Colin Campbell (Co-owner & Winemaker), and Jules Campbell (Family Member & Winemaker) Hectares: 65 KEY POINTS: 1. Campbells is an historic 5th Generation Family run & owned winery in Rutherglen, located in the North East corner of Victoria, Australia. 2. All of Campbells Wines are Estate grown and bottled at the winery. 3. Rutherglen’s continental climate provides long mild and dry autumn weather allowing the grapes to achieve slow, even ripening and abundant fruit flavors. 4. Campbells is known best for their sweet wines. Each vintage the grapes are left on the 20 year old vines to ripen until raisined and laden with natural sugar. The resulting wine is blended with previous vintages using a modified Solera method.
